Bentley - Technology Park
One feature of Bentley is the Technology Park off Hayman Road. Originally called the Collier Technology Park probably after the Collier pine plantation which used to occupy this site and where Curtin University is now. There are still many pines presumably left for posterity. This building is the ARRC - Australian Resources Research Centre. January 2011 |

Bentley - Curtin University
This curious building dominates the University skyline down at the Hayman Road end. Loads of big pipes run in and out of it. I wonder what it's used for? January 2011 |

Bentley - Curtin University
This domed roof tops a bunker-like building which is home to the Fitness Centre. This seems to be the physical education part of the campus. Nearby is the Perth Hockey Stadium. January 2011 |

Bentley - Brownlie Towers
Who remembers Brownlie Towers in Bentley? Something of a late 1960's architectural or housing or social experiment? Well these towers are still here today. Brownlie Towers are undergoing something of an external facelift as you can see here. The rear tower is surrounded in scaffolding on this day. The rows of doors on each floor haven't changed though and probably it's just the same as it ever was inside the flats. Looks like some housing estate in "The Bill". November 2008 |
