Beverley - Old Courthouse The old Court House looks really impressive and is being impeccably maintained. It looks around the same vintage as most other buildings in town - probably going back 80-90 years. These days the court has moved out and craft people have moved in. September 2010 |
Beverley - Freemasons Tavern The Freemasons Tavern is a pretty imposing looking building. This is on the left side of the main street going towards the Avon River. September 2010 |
Beverley - Hotel A prominent feature of almost all country towns and indeed Perth suburbs is the hotel and Beverley is no exception. This is the Beverley Hotel on the main street. September 2010 |
Beverley - Liquor Store The local liquor store. I wonder if, in times gone by, this building served as a farm machinery or similar store? It sort of looks like it might have done by the design. September 2010 |
Beverley - Main Street A view up the main street, looking back towards Great Southern Highway. The railway line bisects the town. September 2010 |

Beverley - Museum The Beverley "Dead Finish" Museum on the Great Southern Highway was built in 1872. Didn't get a chance to go inside this day. I like the old G.P.O. postman's pushbike propped up out the front. September 2010 |

Beverley - Old Building A really cute looking stone building in Beverley. Perhaps a private residence? Country towns in W.A. abound with such charming structures. September 2010 |

Beverley - Post Office Where would we be without a photo of the post office. This building looks great. It's situated right next door to the Town Hall. September 2010 |
Beverley - Roads Board The old Roads Board building. The Foundation Stone was laid by Frank Tyndall Broun, Esq. J.P., Chairman (presumably of the Road Board?) on the 14th December 1908 (That date might be slightly wrong as the stone is rather worn). September 2010 |
Beverley - Train Station The Beverley train station looks very impressive and like the Court House is being well preserved. You can't get on the platform right now and anyway, there are no passenger services running through here anymore. The Albany Progress would have come through here and stopped years ago. These days the train line is mainly used for grain haulage. September 2010 |
Beverley - Wesfarmers On the main street this is the Wesfarmers building. September 2010 |
Beverley - Avon River The Avon River has plenty of water in it today. This is a view from the road bridge at the east end of town. September 2010 |
