Bullsbrook - Newsagency
On the main street (the highway), on the east side going north is the colourful newsagency. Are those balloons something to do with lotto or are they avid Eagles fans? July 2011

|
Bullsbrook - Christian Centre
This place (next to the newsagency) used to be a local cafe but they have moved one door down and this building is now the Christian Gathering Place. July 2011

Bullsbrook - Cafe
And here is the cafe's new location. Cute caravan from which lots of pleasant smells are being emitted. July 2011

Bullsbrook - Accountants
Progressing down the main street, beyond the cafe, is this fine-looking building - home to some local accountants. Beyond this is an old garage where Muzz-Buzz coffee now lives. July 2011

Bullsbrook - Garage
On the west side of the highway is this old Shell service station. July 2011

|
Bullsbrook - Pub
On the corner of Great Northern Highway is the local hotel. I think this must be part of Chequers Hotel, the entrance to which is a little up the street. This is viewing the pub end-on, at the bottle shop end. July 2011

Bullsbrook - Chequers Hotel
The main entrance to Chequers Hotel. It doesn't open until 12 noon. Between this building and the pub looks like residential accommodation. July 2011

Bullsbrook - Electricians
A little further up the side street from the hotel is this fine old country business building. The home of Bon Electrics. July 2011

Bullsbrook - Highway Truck
The Great Northern Highway running through town carries an enormous number of road freighters, many of which are over-width or over-length, and most heading north to mining establishments. This morning they were endless - one after another. Most come back with scant back-loads, almost empty, which seems a bit of a waste. July 2011

|
Bullsbrook - RAAF Pearce
The R.A.A.F. Pearce airbase has been here as long as I care to remember and is probably one of the reasons Bullsbrook thrives as a town. This is an "old" entrance. This brickwork style can been seen on administrative buildings and barracks seen from the highway. July 2011

|
Bullsbrook - RSL
A little to the east of town now, up Chittering Road. This is the local RSL Hall nearly on the edge of town. July 2011

|
Bullsbrook - Library
Still a little up and off Chittering Road is the local library. July 2011

Bullsbrook - Old Fire Truck
Outside the fire station is this fine old fire truck. Kept in a cage to prevent it from escaping? It's an old Ford called "Blitzbuggy". This is actually an ex-RAAF water tanker which was purchased for fire-fighting way back in 1962. July 2011

Bullsbrook - Moondyne Joe
A mural on what is perhaps a pump house near the fire station. Moondyne Joe was Western Australia's best-known bush-ranger who "operated" in the Avon Valley area in the middle to late 1800's. Joe's real name was Joseph Bolitho Johns. Joe obviously comes from John, and Moondyne was the Aboriginal name for the Avon Valley. July 2011

Bullsbrook - "The Maze"
Located on Neaves Road not that far from central Bullsbrook is this family amusement park aptly called "The Maze". Good place to spend an afternoon. December 2009.

|
Bullsbrook - "The Maze"
"The Maze" features, naturally enough, several entertaining mazes. There are two constructed from bits of pine tree forest. Here is one such. December 2009. |

|
Bullsbrook - "The Maze"
This is another maze - a bit easier for little kids! December 2009 |

|
Bullsbrook - "The Maze"
You can also play mini-golf or giant chess. There is also an exceedingly pleasant restaurant for lunch. December 2009
