Floreat Park - Floreat Forum Floreat Forum was the first suburban shopping centre in metropolitan Perth. It was built in the 1960's and has undergone a few facelifts and changes since. September 2010 |

Floreat Park - Floreat Forum On this site was the old Floreat Hotel - a barn-style affair where patrons queued several deep at the bar to buy their jugs of beer. Like the Forum, the hotel has undergone changes over the years and is, in fact, closed right now for more renovations. September 2010 |

Floreat Park - Perry Lakes Or should we now say Perry Lake, or indeed, Perry-half-a-lake. So sad to see the demise of these wetlands. No sign of the turtles that used to inhabit this area. And this is the end of winter too! October 2010 |

Floreat Park - Reabold Hill Reabold Hill off Oceanic Drive. This is a view along a part of the higher walkway looking east. Back in 1917 Reabold Hill was thus named after Messrs Francis Rea and William Bold, both esteemed and long serving members of Perth City Council. October 2010 |

Floreat Park - Reabold Hill Another view looking eastwards, towards the city. You can see a cricket match in progress (centre left) on Alderbury Reserve. The first game for the season, I think. October 2010 |

Floreat Park - Perry Lakes Stadium I just managed to snap this in time. This is the grandstand in Perry Lakes Stadium due to go under the ball and hammer any day now. The stadium faces over what used to be a sports ground, and faces Brookdale Street. This land will be turned into housing. January 2011 |

Floreat Park - Perry Lakes Stadium This is the rear side of Perry Lakes Stadium - the west side. Soon to be demolished. This facility has been replaced by the new AK Stadium & sports complex (go to Mount Claremont). January 2011 |

Floreat Park - Mini-Mart On Cambridge Street, Floreat are a small group of shops which probably pre-date the 1960's Floreat Forum. This is the local Mini-Mart. January 2011 |
