Guildford - Hotel - After the Fire Well, we've waited for getting on three years since the fire but still the grand old hotel is still in ruins. Socks on the fence and the signs don't seem to make much difference in getting the building restored to anyone. July 2011 |

Guildford - James Street This shop is just a tiny bit west of Stephen Street and right next door to Tindale Cottage. The building is currently the "Pink Champagne" but back in 1894 J.T. Tindale occupied this Apothecaries Hall. An Apothecary is an archaic term for Chemist (we all knew that). October 2010 |

Guildford - Alfred's Kitchen Anyone who doesn't known Guildford, don't be fooled the exterior. This is Alfred's Kitchen hamburger bar and it has been operating here since 1946. Its burgers have been acclaimed by people in high places (and also me). This place is open in the evenings. Good to sit there by the fire on a winter evening enjoying your burger. January 2012 |

Guildford - Fish Market Reserve This Reserve dates back to the earliest colony days of Western Australia. Guildford was established in the 1870's at which time goods were transported from Perth and Fremantle by river and produce markets were held on this Reserve.
