Inglewood

Inner city area suburb sandwiched between Mount Lawley, Bedford and Menora/Dianella

South to Mount Lawley

East to Maylands

Inglewood - Beaufort Street

On Beaufort Street, heading north where the road does a sort of "kink" this building complete with clock tower has been a famous land-mark for decades. January 2011

Inglewood - Civic Hotel

The Civic Hotel on Beaufort Street. There are 3 pubs along here within a few minutes driving of each other. Queens .. packed, Inglewood .. well patronised but comfortable, the Civic .. practically deserted. I suppose you can't be everywhere at once. January 2011

Inglewood - Civic Hotel

This is the front of the Civic Hotel and you can see there is no-one here this hot Sunday afternoon. January 2011

Inglewood - Inglewood Hotel

A few blocks south of the Civic is the Inglewood. Looks like quite a nice watering hole. Beaufort street runs off to the right so we're standing on Central Avenue. January 2011

Inglewood - Inglewood Hotel

The Inglewood rear part as viewed from the car park still beckons with ice-cold ales. January 2011

Inglewood - Old Shops

These old, closed-down shops seem (to me) to typify the lack of vibrancy around this area. The difference between here and Mount Lawley just down the road is marked. "Head Set", however, is still operating - from other premises just to the left of this building. January 2011
