Naval Base - Alcoa These tanks belong to Alcoa Kwinana Refinery and I assume this is for the refinement of alumina. This is set more or less right on the beach in north Naval Base and has a rail spur line in there to deliver the raw materials. January 2010 |

Naval Base - Desalination Plant You can see these tanks on Barter Road in Naval Base. What's in the tanks? I don't know but probably water. This is part of the Cockburn Seawater Desalination Plant which is a relative newcomer into the area. January 2010 |

Naval Base - Chimney Stacks Anyone passing through Naval Base for decades must have laid eyes on this quadruplex of chimney stacks. Rather iconic. None were smoking this day so perhaps the anti-tobacco message is getting though down this way. January 2010 |
