Osborne Park - 'A' Mart

Super A Mart on Scarborough Beach Road. This used to be the home of Ikea until it moved into its larger new premises near Stirling Station. July 2009

Osborne Park - Old Passiona Factory

This was the Passiona Bottling Co. premises years ago - that name is built into the brickwork at the top of the far end as was the fashion. The name is still clearly visible. At some time Schweppes took over. Up until just a couple of weeks before this picture was taken, the business was known as Cadbury Schweppes but Cadbury pulled out so they pulled off the Cadbury sign  revealing "Weppes Co". Was the "Co" Cottees or simply Company? A big new Schweppes sign now covers this spot. August 2009

Osborne Park - ABB Factory

The Osborne Park site of ABB (Asea Browne Bovervi) - power transmission equipment - on Scarborough Beach Road at the end of Hutton Street.  This factory has been totally demolished although at the start it seems asbestos removal was the prime objective of the temporary closure. A bit of a desert now. I wonder if they will rebuild? January 2011

Osborne Park - Main Street

I suppose this area is the "heart" of Osborne Park - as least as far as residential areas go. This is the Osborne Shopping Centre on Main Street. January 2011

Osborne Park - Memorial Hall

The Osborne Park Memorial RSL Hall dates back to 1930. The building in on Main Street, at the corner of Cape Street. August 2011
