Perth - Esplanade - Ferris Wheel Here is a new addition to the Perth foreshore. This is the first time I've seen it and it's still under construction. Apparently it's a permanent resident. It looks quite robust and elegant and quite at home! January 2009. |

Perth - Esplanade - Swan Bells Commissioned by the Richard Court Government around the turn of the century, a bit scorned at the time, but now an accepted feature of Perth are the Swan Bells. The bells actually came from St Martin-In-The-Fields in the UK and laid to waste here in W.A. for some years. Nice touch to the Perth foreshore. March 2008. |

Perth - Foreshore - Tourist Buses A red double-decker bus (minus the roof) awaits passengers for a trip around the city, Northbridge and Burswood. You can see a Burswood "tram" parked behind it. There are 2 double-decker buses operated by this business. Apparently these buses originated in Hong Kong and were shipped to Melbourne then driven to Perth - a journey that took weeks! March 2008 |
