Preston Beach

Preston Beach has a pleasant feeling and a relaxing air. It is located about 15 kms off the Forrest Highway just south of the Old Bunbury Road Junction.

North to Lake Clifton

South to Myalup

Preston Beach - Beach

Here is a view at "the end of the road". Beyond the car park is Preston Beach and beyond that is the blue Indian Ocean. The road into Preston Beach crosses the head of Lake Preston which provides interesting vistas. January 2012

Preston Beach - Footprints Cafe

Probably the most impressive business and development in Preston Beach is the Footprints Resort. This is the front of their fine looking cafe. January 2012

Right next door to the cafe is this reception building for the Footprints resort. Behind here is a decent sized swimming pool which was getting a lot of use today. January 2012.

Preston Beach - Footprints Accommodation Units

These Footprints accommodation units are visually spectacular  - I'd like to see inside one. The complex is quite large - there are many other units in varying design but all appear to be made out of corrugated iron which adds a degree of uniqueness and a radiates a relaxing "holiday" ambience. Preston Beach - Golf Course

The Preston Beach Golf Club which holds its own competitions and by the look of it offers daily rates to visitors which is a bit unusual and great value for golfing buffs. January 2012

Preston Beach - House

Just look at this fine local home perched on the sand dunes and over-looking the main road! Fantastic paintwork and design. January 2012

Preston Beach - General Store

As with just about all these beach resorts up and down the Bunbury-Mandurah coast, Preston Beach boasts its own general store. January 2012

Preston Beach - Community Centre

Finally, the local Community Centre looks cute with its blue paintwork and weatherboard fabrication. All in all, I give Preston Beach a thumbs up. January 2012
