Quairading - Welcome Sign Welcome to town this sign proclaims, sitting out on the York Road. Behind the sign you can glimpse Quairading Seed Cleaners. January 2012 |

Quairading - Train Station Nice to see the local station so well preserved. That is often the case when someone is occupying it and looking after it, and in this case it is the Information Centre and Wood Sculpture Display. January 2012 |

Quairading - Train Station Track-side of the railway station. The wheat harvest is all in and probably shipped out by now so not many trains will come this way until next season. January 2012 |

Quairading - Jennaberring Road Here is a look down the main street, Jennaberring Road. This is looking west. On the left is the Quairading Hall, on the right Post Office and shops beyond. January 2012 |
Quairading - Main Road Here is another view looking west but from further west. This is the main shopping/parking area. In the foreground are Agricultural Services businesses, beyond them the Co-Op and beyond that the hotel. January 2012 |

Quairading - Brass Razoo Bank This lovely old building is on the main street. I have no idea of its history. On the window just next to the door it proclaims "The Brass Razoo Bank" and "1938". Perhaps this was once a bank and now a private residence? January 2012 |
Quairading - Old Building This looks remarkably like a Road Board Building which has been extended side and rear and is now a private residence. January 2012 |
Quairading - Corner Shop A cute corner shop on Jennaberring Road. I think this shop may currently be work-in-progress on a private residence. January 2012 |
Quairading - Shops Shops on the main street. Makit Hardware with what looks like an empty shop next door. January 2012 |
Quairading - Post Office On Jennaberring Road is the local post office and Quairading Book Post so it seems this business doubles at the local library. January 2012 |
Quairading - Shire Hall The Quairading Shire Hall is right across the road from the Post Office and looks a sturdy town icon. January 2012 |
Quairading - Shire Offices The Shire of Quairading Offices, a little east of the Shire Hall. January 2012 |
Quairading - Catholic Church The Catholic church is often one of the most imposing buildings in town and here is no exception. Just look at the fine lines and beautiful paintwork. This is St Francis Xaviers Catholic Church. The Foundation Stone proclaims the blessing and opening on 27th December 1936 by Most Rev. R. Prendiville, Archbishop of Perth. January 2012 |
Quairading - Catholic Church Presbytery Immediately to the left of Xaviers is the Presbytery. A far more recent structure, it was blessed and opened on the 22nd September 1954 by the Most Rev. L. J. Goody, Bishop of Abydos. January 2012 |
Quairading - High School A wing of the Quairading District High School which sits across the road from the Catholic Church. January 2012 |
Quairading - Old School I say this is an old school because it looks like an old school. No signage around so it really could have been a hall or anything. The original use/age/history of most buildings around Quairading left me puzzled as there is no signage like in many other country town. January 2012 |
Quairading - Quairading Club The Quairading Club is a pleasant structure on the north side of town. All's quiet at this time on a Sunday morning. January 2012 |
Quairading - Hotel The Quairading Hotel is at present undergoing some renovations so much of the exterior is shrouded in scaffolding and protective covering. This is a side-on view taken from the east. January 2012 |
Quairading - Hotel Another peek at the hotel. One of the entrances today is sternly blocked off by that red traffic cone during renovations. I would say that this hotel was built very soon after the 1907 establishment of the town judging by the architecture. January 2012 |

Quairading - House with Character There are many houses in town, some really well-to-do and looking fabulous and others fairly basic - a mix like you would find almost anywhere. This one radiates a certain character. January 2012 |
Quairading - Vet This little transportable veterinary clinic looks really quite cute sitting there on its own. January 2012 |
Quairading - Youth Centre A mainly weatherboard and iron-roofed building houses the Youth Centre. I wonder why that rather out-of-character looking brick wall was built at the front? January 2012 |

Quairading - Wheat Bins Superstructure of the wheat handling facilities dominate the western approach into town. January 2012 |
