Spencers Brook

A small settlement on the Northam - York railway, and adjacent to the Avon River.  The town seems to be thriving. The townsite would have been established as a farming community and as a grain collection/storage depot due to the proximity of the railway

Spencers Brook - Tavern

The fine looking tavern at Spencers Brook. These two-storey country pubs are amazing and in such a small town seem a little out of place but nevertheless a beacon for a traveller. January 2012

Spencers Brook - Tavern

A closer look at the main entrance, fine brickwork and verandahs on the tavern. January 2012

Spencers Brook - Tavern

This is the side view of the tavern. Behind the photographer is a great beer garden with tables and chairs and lots of shade. The greenery growing around the pub gives it an elegant air and makes the place feel cool. January 2012

Spencers Brook - Hills and Paddocks

A short way north of the townsite are these paddocks and hill, burnt brown by the recent scorching weather. January 2012
