Yerecoin

A small agricultural townsite in the Shire of Victoria Plains, part way between Calingiri and Piawaning but closer to the latter. Yerecoin is about 156 kilometers north east of Perth

Yerecoin - School

The Yerecoin Primary School sporting attractive colours at the south side of town. The school is currently being extended/repaired under the National Economic Stimulus Plan. October 2011

Yerecoin - Old Shop

This old corner shop probably closed a long time ago as many have throughout the Perth Metro and country areas. October 2011

Yerecoin - Hall

The Yerecoin Hall looking quite fresh. Yerecoin townsite was not, in fact, established until 1925 - some time after other towns in the area. October 2011

This sign proclaims the location of the station although apart from that little shed, there is nothing here except of course the gain handling complex. October 2011

The Yerecoin Traders general store providing various goods for the shopping needs of the town residents. October 2011

Across the road from the Traders store is this yard, part of the shop but catering for larger items and bulk items such as fuel, chemicals etc. You can see the wheat bin at the rear.  October 2011

Yerecoin - Tavern

The rather attractive Yerecoin Tavern painted in its distinctive green. All is quiet this weekday morning - it is well before opening time. October 2011

Yerecoin - New Houses

Some nice looking new houses in town proves that the town is growing albeit slowly. These homes look quite agreeable. October 2011

Yerecoin - Paddocks

Right on the edge of town, these paddocks are full of cut hay awaiting baling. A fairly typical scene around here at this time of year. October 2011
