Dandaragan The small town of Dandaragan is located on the Cataby and Moora Roads, 18 kms east of the Brand Highway and some 35 kms west of Moora. In 1850 Mr James Drummond settled in the district and the town name was coined about that time. An alternative spelling has been Dandaraga. It took until 1958, after a hundred years of settlement, that the town was finally gazetted. The seat of the Shire of Dandaragan is actually over on the coast in Jurien Bay |

Dandaragan - Anglican Church St Anne's Anglican church, Dandaragan. This building was opened in 1888 as the local school but closed on and off over the years due to low enrolments. The rear rooms were added circa 1900 as teacher accommodation. In those days it was also used as a dance and meeting hall and also served as an unofficial church.
